Patek Philippe Rare Handcrafts 5738/50J-014 is a Golden Ellipse model in yellow gold, measuring 39.5 mm across the case. It stands 6.58 mm thick and runs on the self-winding calibre 240 movement. A sapphire crystal covers the dial, which is hand-engraved with a wavelet pattern, coated in translucent blue enamel and finished with miniature painting depicting a scene from a Chinese Qingming Festival painting. Cheveu-style hands in yellow gold mark the hours and minutes, with a central seconds hand also fitted, and the watch is set with diamonds. The alligator leather strap comes in shiny bottle green, closed with a yellow gold pin buckle. Given the enamel work, the case is protected only against humidity and dust, and is not water-resistant.
