Patek Philippe presents the Rare Handcrafts 5738/50G-045, a Golden Ellipse case in white gold measuring 39.5 mm. The case has a thickness of 6.58 mm and follows the elongated elliptical proportions typical of this collection. A sapphire crystal covers the dial, which is hand-guilloché with a tartan-inspired pattern rendered in cloisonné and flinqué enamel. The movement is the calibre 240, an ultra-thin self-winding mechanism with a power reserve of 48 hours. Cheveu-style hands in white gold mark the hours and minutes against the white dial. The watch is fitted to an alligator leather strap secured by a pin buckle in white gold. Patek Philippe notes the case is protected against humidity and dust only, with no water resistance rating.
