The IWC Portugieser Automatic, reference IW500712, has a 42.3 mm steel case. Case thickness is 14.1 mm; calibre 52010 is self-winding and has a 168-hour power reserve and 31 jewels; the silver-plated dial has a date display, small hacking seconds and a power reserve indicator. The watch is on a black alligator leather strap. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres. A see-through case back displays the movement. The rotor has an 18-carat gold medallion. The movement has Côtes de Genève and perlage decoration. The dial is covered by convex sapphire glass with antireflective coating on both sides.
