The IWC Portugieser Automatic, reference IW500701, has a 42.3 mm case in 18-carat 5N gold. The case measures 14.1 mm thick. Self-winding calibre 52010 has a 168-hour power reserve, Pellaton winding and 31 jewels. Convex sapphire glass has antireflective coating on both sides. The silver-plated dial has small hacking seconds, a date display and a power reserve indicator. A dark brown alligator leather strap by Santoni is fitted to the watch. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres, and the movement has Côtes de Genève and perlage decoration. A rotor with an 18-carat gold medallion is visible through the see-through case back.
