The IWC Portugieser Automatic, reference IW500704, has a 42.3 mm steel case. Case thickness is 14.1 mm; self-winding calibre 52010 has a 168-hour power reserve and 31 jewels; convex sapphire glass covers the silver-plated dial with a date display, small hacking seconds and a power reserve indicator. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres. The watch has a see-through case back. The rotor has an 18-carat gold medallion. The movement runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The dial has a railway track chapter ring, appliquéd Arabic numerals and feuille hands. A black alligator leather strap measures 22 mm wide.
