The Grand Seiko Sport, reference SBGV245, has a steel case measuring 40 mm in diameter. Above the dial is a sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective coating on its inner surface. Measuring 47.1 mm lug-to-lug, the case is 11.8 mm thick; water resistance is rated to 200 metres. The watch has a date display; the lug width is 20 mm. The textile strap has a folding clasp with push button release; LumiBrite is applied to the hands and indices. Timekeeping is provided by quartz calibre 9F82, which operates with a precision of ±10 seconds per year.
