Breitling's Chronomat B31 Automatic 40, reference AB3114101A1A1, is a dive watch with a 40 mm stainless steel case. The case measures 10.99 mm thick, and the dial sits under a sapphire crystal. Inside is the self-winding manufacture calibre B31, a COSC-certified chronometer with a power reserve of approximately 78 hours, which runs well beyond a weekend without winding. A screw-locked crown protects the movement, and a date window sits on the white dial with central seconds. A sapphire display back shows the movement itself, finished to the standard Breitling applies across the manufacture range. The steel bracelet completes the case, matching the tone of the dial.
