Audemars Piguet Ultra-Complication Universelle (RD#4)

Audemars Piguet's Ultra-Complication Universelle, reference 26398BC.OO.D002CR.04, comes in a 42 mm white gold case measuring 15.55 mm thick. A sapphire crystal covers the champagne dial. The self-winding calibre 1000 combines a minute repeater and tourbillon with a flyback chronograph, one of the most complex movements the manufacture builds. Date and moon phase functions round out the display, all coordinated through a single movement designed for this reference. As a chronograph, it also carries a double chronograph function alongside the flyback, giving the wearer split-seconds timing. The case is fitted to a black alligator leather strap secured by a folding clasp in white gold. Water resistance is modest for such a piece: the case holds a 30 metre rating.
