Audemars Piguet Grande Complication

Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak Grande Complication 26605CE.OO.1248CE.01 is a chronograph built in a 44 mm black ceramic case. The openworked dial sits under a sapphire crystal, and the whole piece runs on the self-winding calibre 2885, made in-house. This movement combines three categories of complication in one case: a split-seconds chronograph, a minute repeater and a perpetual calendar, with a week indication alongside. Such a concentration of mechanisms is rare, and each example is assembled by a single master watchmaker in AP's grande complication workshop. The watch is fitted with a black ceramic bracelet closed by an AP folding clasp, matching the case material throughout. Water resistance is modest for a piece this complicated, rated to 20 metres.
