The AP 2885 is an automatic caliber introduced by Audemars Piguet in 1990. It measures 31.6mm in diameter and 8.55mm thick, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and provides 45 hours of power reserve with 52 jewels. This in-house movement combines a split-seconds chronograph with a minute repeater, perpetual calendar, and moonphase—collectively known as the Grande Complication. Production remains limited to specific haute horlogerie pieces.
