The L961.1 is a manual-winding, in-house chronograph movement manufactured by A. Lange & Söhne. Introduced in 2004, it belongs to the L9xx Double Split family and features a rattrapante (split-seconds) complication with independent seconds and minutes hands, allowing measurement of two concurrent elapsed times. This represents an extreme horological complication requiring precise coordination between the two independent chronograph trains. The caliber remains in production and serves as the movement for several of the brand's double-split chronograph references.
