The L043.5 is a manual-winding in-house caliber introduced by A. Lange & Söhne in 2015 as part of the Zeitwerk family. It powers the Zeitwerk Date, adding a date complication to the signature jumping digital display that shows hours, minutes, and seconds via large Arabic numerals on three separate sub-dials. The movement represents Lange's approach to mechanical digital timekeeping with a date function. It remains in production.
