Tourneau is America's largest authorized luxury watch retailer, established in 1900 and now operating as part of the Bucherer Group. The company offers over 8,000 styles from nearly 40 luxury watch brands, along with certified pre-owned timepieces and watch servicing. Tourneau has also produced its own branded watch collections, including the New York City-inspired TNY Series.
The Tourneau family established their watch selling business in the Russian Empire in 1900. Following the October Revolution, they fled to Paris before emigrating to New York City in 1924. The Tourneau brothers initially opened a small dressmaking shop with a watch counter at the Berkshire Place Hotel. In 1930, they opened their first dedicated watch shop at Madison Avenue and 49th Street. A second location followed in 1940 at the Pennsylvania Hotel. The company expanded to the West Coast in the 1990s with a store at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California. In 1997, Tourneau opened the TimeMachine on 57th Street in New York City, which was then the world's largest watch store. The Tourneau Time Dome in Las Vegas claimed the Guinness World Record in 2005. In 2011, Tourneau launched its own TNY Series watch collection inspired by New York City architecture. The company was acquired by Swiss retailer Bucherer Group in 2018, combining over 200 years of combined horological heritage between the two companies.
