RGM Watch Company
ActiveAmerican watchmaker producing high-grade mechanical timepieces with in-house movements and traditional hand-finishing techniques.
RGM Watch Company was founded in 1992 by master watchmaker Roland G. Murphy in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Murphy trained at WOSTEP in Switzerland in 1986 and worked at Hamilton Watch Company before establishing RGM to revive American watchmaking. In 2007, RGM introduced the Caliber 801, the first American-designed and manufactured watch movement in decades. This was followed by the Pennsylvania Tourbillon and the tonneau-shaped Caliber 20. The company combines modern precision manufacturing with traditional craftsmanship techniques including guilloché engine-turning and glass enamel work, using both antique hand-operated machinery and modern technology.
