Locman Italy was founded in 1986 on the Island of Elba by Marco Mantovani and three partners. The brand name derives from the founding members' initials: Locci and Mantovani. The company established itself as an Italian watchmaker combining Tuscan watchmaking traditions with modern manufacturing technologies. In 2003, Locman presented the first watch in the world with a carbon fiber case, establishing a reputation for innovative materials. The brand produces sports-oriented timepieces with Italian design, including collaborations with Italian military units. Models are typically equipped with Swiss or Japanese movements assembled in Italy.
