Ulysse Nardin Super Freak

Ulysse Nardin's Super Freak, reference 2520-500LE-3A-BLUE/3A, is a limited edition of 50 pieces in an 18 ct white gold case measuring 44 mm across. The case is 16.54 mm thick and carries a sapphire crystal. Inside is calibre UN-252, a self-winding movement with 72 hours of power reserve, built around a flying carousel construction that rotates the whole movement about its own axis. The watch houses two 10-degree inclined flying tourbillons, each with its own silicon balance wheel and DIAMonSIL escapement. Titanium bridges support the going train in place of a conventional dial and hands arrangement. The case sits on a rubber strap. Water resistance is a modest 30 metres, in keeping with the piece's role as a mechanical display rather than a tool watch.
