Seiko Astron

The Seiko Astron, reference SSE159J1, has a 45.4 mm steel case. The watch has a power reserve indicator. The case carries a water-resistance rating of 100 metres; the distance between the lugs measures 22 mm. Solar-powered calibre 8X22 contains 8 jewels and operates for approximately 6 months when fully charged; the movement has an overcharge prevention function. The dial has a date display; the bezel has a ceramic insert; the dial has LumiBrite on the hands and indices. The folding clasp has a three-fold construction and a push-button release mechanism. Movement accuracy is plus or minus 15 seconds per month without signal reception at temperatures between 5 and 35 degrees Celsius. A sapphire crystal with a Super Clear coating covers the dial.
