Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228398TBR-0039, is cased in 18 ct yellow gold at 40 mm across and 12 mm thick. The case follows Rolex's Oyster architecture, with a monobloc middle case and screw-down crown and back, and the bezel is diamond-set. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal covers the dial, with a Cyclops lens magnifying the date. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding chronometer movement with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The green dial shows the day and date along with central seconds, standard Day-Date functions. It is fitted to a President bracelet in matching yellow gold with a concealed folding Crownclasp. The screw-down crown helps hold the case to its 100 metre water resistance rating.
