Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228396TBR-0024, is cased in 950 platinum with a diameter of 40 mm and a thickness of 12 mm. The bezel is diamond-set, and the bright black dial sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Inside is calibre 3255, a self-winding chronometer movement with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The watch shows the day and date in apertures alongside a central seconds hand, and gemstones are set into the case. It is fitted with a President bracelet in platinum, closed by a concealed folding Crownclasp. The screw-down winding crown, part of the Twinlock system, helps keep the case waterproof to 100 metres.
