Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228396TBR-0020, cases the watch in 40 mm of platinum. The case measures 12 mm thick and is set with a diamond bezel, giving the piece its jewellery-watch presence. A Cyclops lens sits over the date on the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, above an olive green sunray dial. Inside is calibre 3255, a self-winding chronometer movement with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, showing central seconds alongside the day and date. The watch is set with diamonds and fitted with a screw-down crown for added security. It runs on the President bracelet in platinum, closed by a concealed folding Crownclasp. The screw-down crown, with its double waterproofness system, helps hold the case to a 100 metre rating.
