Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228396TBR-0018, has a 40 mm platinum case measuring 12 mm thick. The bezel is diamond-set, and the white lacquered dial sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding chronometer movement with a 70-hour power reserve. The watch shows central seconds along with date and weekday apertures, and gemstones are set into the case for its diamond finish. The screw-down crown uses Rolex's Twinlock double waterproofness system. It is fitted with a platinum President bracelet on a concealed folding Crownclasp. That crown and case combination holds the watch to a depth rating of 100 metres.
