Rolex Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228348RBR-0046, cases in 18 ct yellow gold. The case measures 40 mm across and 12 mm thick, finished with a diamond-set bezel. A Cyclops lens sits over the date on the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding Perpetual movement with a power reserve of around 70 hours and Rolex's own chronometer certification. The white mother-of-pearl dial is set with diamonds and shows the day and date, with a screw-down crown protecting the works. This is a dress watch built for presence rather than sport. It closes on a President bracelet in yellow gold with a concealed folding Crownclasp, and the screw-down crown helps keep the case rated to 100 metres.
