Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228348RBR-0039, comes in 18 ct yellow gold with a case measuring 40 mm across and 12 mm thick. The onyx dial is set with diamonds and matches a diamond-set bezel, giving the watch a formal, jewelled presence. A sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens sits over the date, and the dial also shows the day of the week in its own aperture. Inside is the self-winding calibre 3255, a Rolex manufacture movement certified as a chronometer, with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The crown screws down against the case. The watch is fitted with a President bracelet in yellow gold, closed by a concealed folding Crownclasp. Water resistance stands at 100 metres.
