Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

Rolex's Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228348RBR-0037, is cased in 18 ct yellow gold. The case measures 40 mm across and 12 mm thick, with a monobloc middle case and screw-down back typical of the Oyster construction. A self-winding Perpetual calibre 3255 drives the watch, with a power reserve of around 70 hours, and Rolex certifies it as a chronometer. The dial is diamond-paved and sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date, while the bezel is diamond-set as well. Day and date show in apertures on the dial, updating instantly. The President bracelet, in matching yellow gold, closes with a concealed folding Crownclasp. The screw-down crown helps keep the case waterproof to 100 metres.
