Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228348RBR-0034, cases the movement in 18 ct yellow gold at 40 mm across and 12 mm thick. The bezel is diamond-set, matched to a white dial under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with Cyclops lens over the date. Inside runs the calibre 3255, a self-winding Manufacture movement certified as a chronometer, with day and date shown in apertures alongside central seconds. As with all Day-Date models, this one is set with diamonds, here on the bezel rather than the dial or lugs. The screw-down crown uses Rolex's Twinlock double waterproofness system. The gold President bracelet, with its semi-circular three-piece links, closes with a concealed folding Crownclasp. Waterproofness reaches 100 metres, the standard depth rating for this reference.
