Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228239-0049, is cased in 18 ct white gold. The case measures 40 mm across and 12 mm thick, with a fluted bezel in the same white gold. The dial is paved with diamonds and sapphires, set with diamonds, and sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding chronometer movement with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The watch shows the day and date, along with central seconds, and its crown is a screw-down type. It is fitted on a President bracelet in white gold with a concealed folding Crownclasp. The screw-down crown helps hold the case to its 100 metre rating.
