Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228239-0007, is a men's model cased in 18 ct white gold at 40 mm across and 12 mm thick. The fluted bezel is a Rolex signature, cut directly into the white gold. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding Perpetual movement with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, certified as a chronometer. A Cyclops lens sits over the date on the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and the bright blue dial displays the weekday alongside the date. The screw-down crown backs up the case's water resistance. This example is fitted with the President bracelet in matching white gold, closed by a concealed folding Crownclasp, and the whole package is rated waterproof to 100 metres.
