Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228239-0004, has a 40 mm case in 18 ct white gold. The case measures 12 mm thick and carries a fluted bezel, a Rolex signature detail. A Cyclops lens sits over the date on the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, magnifying the display against the bright black dial. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding perpetual movement offering approximately 70 hours of power reserve, and the watch is certified as a chronometer. The dial shows both weekday and date, a defining feature of the Day-Date line, alongside a central seconds hand. A screw-down crown secures the case, and the President bracelet in matching white gold closes with a concealed folding Crownclasp. Rolex rates the case to 100 metres of water resistance.
