Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228239-0003, is cased in 18 ct white gold. The case measures 40 mm across and stands 12 mm thick, with a fluted bezel and a screw-down crown. A sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens sits over the date, and the silver dial is set with diamonds. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding movement certified as a chronometer, with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The watch shows the day and date, useful functions for a piece that doubles as a formal chronometer. It is fitted to a President bracelet in matching white gold with a concealed folding Crownclasp. Rolex rates the case to 100 metres.
