Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

Rolex Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228238-0071, cased in 18 ct yellow gold with a 40 mm diameter and 12 mm thickness. A fluted bezel encircles the dial, a Rolex signature detail cast in the same gold. The white mother-of-pearl dial is set with diamonds and sits under a sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Inside is the self-winding calibre 3255, a chronometer movement with a 70-hour power reserve. The watch shows the day and date, a Rolex hallmark since this model's launch, and runs from a screw-down crown. It is fitted to a yellow gold President bracelet with a concealed folding Crownclasp. The case is waterproof to 100 metres.
