Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

Rolex's Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228238-0067, is cast in 18 ct yellow gold. The case measures 40 mm across and 12 mm thick, with a fluted bezel that has become a signature of the model. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal sits over the bright black dial, with a Cyclops lens magnifying the date. Inside is the self-winding calibre 3255, a Rolex manufacture movement certified as a chronometer and holding around 70 hours of power reserve. The dial shows the day and date along with luminous hands and indices. It is fitted to a President bracelet in yellow gold with a concealed folding Crownclasp, also in gold. Rolex rates the case to a depth of 100 metres.
