Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228238-0054, cases its diamond-paved dial in 18 ct yellow gold at 40 mm. The case measures 12 mm thick and carries a fluted bezel, a Rolex signature detail in gold. Sapphire crystal covers the dial, with a Cyclops lens set over the date. Inside is calibre 3255, a self-winding movement certified as a Superlative Chronometer, with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The dial shows day and date apertures alongside central seconds, and is set with diamonds, ten baguette-cut stones in all. A screw-down crown protects the movement. The President bracelet, in matching yellow gold, closes with a concealed folding Crownclasp, and Rolex rates the case to 100 metres.
