Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228238-0042, is cased in 18 ct yellow gold. The case measures 40 mm across and 12 mm thick, with a fluted bezel in the same gold. A Cyclops lens sits over the date on the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and the screw-down crown gives the watch its Twinlock double waterproofness. Inside is the self-winding calibre 3255, a Rolex manufacture movement with roughly 70 hours of power reserve and chronometer certification. The white dial shows the day and date in apertures with instantaneous, secure rapid-setting. The gold President bracelet closes with a concealed folding Crownclasp. Rolex rates the case to 100 metres.
