Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228238-0006, is cased in 18 ct yellow gold. The case measures 40 mm across and 12 mm thick, with a fluted bezel finished in the same gold. A sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date sits above the champagne-colour dial. Inside is the self-winding calibre 3255, a Rolex manufacture movement certified as a Superlative Chronometer with around 70 hours of power reserve. The dial shows the day and date, both set instantaneously, alongside central seconds. A screw-down crown protects the movement. The watch is fitted with a President bracelet in yellow gold and a concealed folding Crownclasp, and Rolex rates the case to 100 metres of water resistance.
