Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228238-0004, comes in 18 ct yellow gold with a case measuring 40 mm and 12 mm thick. The fluted bezel is gold, a traditional Rolex touch on this line. A screw-down crown secures the case, and the dial sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. The bright black dial is set with diamonds, giving the watch a formal, jewelled presence. Inside is the self-winding calibre 3255, a Superlative Chronometer with an instantaneous day and date display and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The gold President bracelet closes with a concealed folding Crownclasp. Rolex rates the case to 100 metres.
