Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228238-0002, is cased in 18 ct yellow gold. The case measures 40 mm across and 12 mm thick, with a fluted bezel and a screw-down crown. A sapphire crystal covers the silver dial, with a Cyclops lens set over the date. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding movement with a power reserve of around 70 hours and Superlative Chronometer certification. The dial shows the day and date along with central seconds, functions long associated with this model. The watch is fitted with a President bracelet in yellow gold, closed by a concealed folding Crownclasp. Rolex rates the case to 100 metres of water resistance.
