Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228236-0024, cased in 40 mm platinum. The case measures 12 mm thick and carries a fluted platinum bezel, a Rolex signature. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding chronometer movement with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The dial is finished in blue ombré, shifting from colour at the centre to black at the edge, and sits under a sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Day and date appear in apertures, with central seconds also shown. A screw-down crown protects the movement, and the watch is fitted to a platinum President bracelet closing with a concealed folding Crownclasp. The Twinlock crown helps keep the case waterproof to 100 metres.
