Rolex Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228236-0007, is a men's chronometer cased in platinum. The case measures 40 mm across and 12 mm thick, with a fluted platinum bezel, a Rolex signature on this metal. The dial is bright blue and sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding movement offering around 70 hours of power reserve. The day and date appear in apertures, set instantaneously with secure rapid-setting. The screw-down crown protects the movement and adds to the watch's overall solidity. It is fitted to a platinum President bracelet with a concealed folding Crownclasp. Rolex rates the case to 100 metres of water resistance.
