Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228236-0006, has a platinum case measuring 40 mm across and 12 mm thick. The bezel is fluted, also in platinum, and the monobloc case is fitted with a screw-down winding crown. A self-winding calibre 3255 runs the watch, offering approximately 70 hours of power reserve and certified as a Superlative Chronometer. The ice blue dial is set with diamonds and sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Day and date appear instantaneously in apertures, with secure rapid-setting for both. The President bracelet, in platinum with its semi-circular three-piece links, closes with a concealed folding Crownclasp. The Twinlock crown system helps keep the case waterproof to 100 metres.
