Rolex Day-Date 40, reference 228236-0002, cases in platinum at 40 mm across with a thickness of 12 mm. The fluted bezel is also platinum, a Rolex signature original to this line. The silver dial is set with diamonds and sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Inside is the self-winding calibre 3255, a Superlative Chronometer movement with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The watch shows the day and date in apertures alongside central seconds, and a screw-down crown protects the movement. It is fitted to a platinum President bracelet with a concealed folding Crownclasp. The screw-down crown helps hold the case to its 100 metre water resistance rating.
