Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228235-0036, comes in 18 ct rose gold with a case measuring 40 mm across and 12 mm thick. The bezel is fluted, a detail long associated with this bracelet style. A screw-down crown secures the case, and the dial has a diamond-paved finish beneath a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Inside is the self-winding calibre 3255, a chronometer-certified movement with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The watch shows the day and date in apertures alongside central seconds, and the watch is set with diamonds. It is fitted to a rose gold President bracelet with a concealed folding Crownclasp. The case is waterproof to 100 metres.
