Rolex Day-Date 40 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 40 mm, reference 228235-0003, is cased in rose gold measuring 40 mm across and 12 mm thick. The fluted bezel is gold as well, a Rolex signature carried over from the earlier screw-down bezels. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding chronometer movement with a power reserve of around 70 hours. A sapphire crystal covers the dial, with a Cyclops lens magnifying the date. The chocolate dial is set with diamonds and shows the day and date, along with a central seconds hand, functions typical of the Day-Date line. Rose gold President bracelet and a concealed folding Crownclasp complete the piece. The screw-down crown backs up a case rated to 100 metres.
