Rolex Day-Date 36 mm

The Rolex Day-Date 36, reference 128236-0001, is cased in platinum at 36 mm across. The fluted bezel, also platinum, sits above a silver dial and shows through a sapphire crystal with a Cyclops lens over the date. Inside is the calibre 3255, a self-winding movement built by Rolex with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, and the watch carries chronometer certification. The dial shows the day and date, with a screw-down crown protecting the movement. This is a dress watch built on the President bracelet, also in platinum, with a concealed folding Crownclasp. The bracelet's semi-circular three-piece links are a Rolex hallmark dating to the Day-Date's 1956 launch. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.
