Patek Philippe's Grand Complications 5316/50P-001 is a 40.2mm platinum piece from the Grand Complications collection. The case measures 13.23mm thick and holds a sapphire crystal dial finished with a blue metallized, smoked-glass effect over the movement. Inside is the manual-winding calibre R TO 27 PS QR, with a power reserve of 38 hours. This is a triple complication watch combining a minute repeater, a tourbillon and a perpetual calendar with retrograde date, moon phase and small seconds. The platinum case is set with a diamond at 6 o'clock, and a display back allows the mechanism to be viewed. A navy blue calfskin strap closes on a platinum folding clasp. Patek Philippe does not rate the case for water resistance, protecting it only against dust and humidity.
