Patek Philippe's Complications 5172G-001 is a chronograph with a 41 mm white gold case. The case measures 11.45 mm thick and pairs three-tier lugs with guilloched pushers, a detail lifted from the vintage catalogue. A sapphire crystal covers the blue guilloché dial, and the case back is sapphire as well, showing the movement. The hand-wound calibre CH 29-535 PS drives the chronograph, with a central chronograph hand, an instantaneous 30-minute counter and small seconds at 9 o'clock. A tachymeter scale runs around the dial's edge, and the syringe-shaped hands and numerals carry luminescent coating. The watch comes on a navy blue calfskin strap with nubuck finish and cream stitching, closed by a white gold folding clasp. Water resistance stands at 30 metres.
