Omega's Seamaster Planet Ocean 6000M Ultra Deep, reference 215.30.46.21.06.001, has a 45.5 mm steel case. Thickness runs to 18.12 mm and lug-to-lug measures 51.9 mm, a substantial build for a dive watch. A unidirectional rotating bezel and screw-down crown surround the grey dial, which sits under a domed sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The self-winding calibre 8912 inside is Master Chronometer certified, resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, and runs on a freesprung balance with silicon spring and twin barrels. It also includes a time zone function. Power reserve reaches 60 hours. The steel bracelet closes with a foldover clasp that has a comfort setting and diver extension. That extension matters: the case is rated to a considerable 600 bar, or 6000 metres.
