Omega's De Ville Prestige 434.13.40.20.02.001 has a 40 mm steel case. Thickness runs to 9.93 mm, with a lug-to-lug span of 46.26 mm. The silver dial sits behind a domed sapphire crystal with antireflective treatment on the inner side. Inside is the self-winding calibre 8800, a Master Chronometer movement with a Co-Axial escapement and a silicon balance spring, resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. Power reserve runs to 55 hours. The date function is set at the dial, and a transparent caseback shows the movement's finishing, with its Geneva waves in arabesque. A black alligator leather strap with grained calf leather underside closes on a steel pin buckle. Water resistance is limited to 30 metres, so this is a watch for the desk rather than the pool.
