IWC fits the watch with its first ceramic bracelet. A self-winding, IWC-manufactured calibre 52616 drives the watch, offering 168 hours of power reserve. The convex sapphire crystal carries an antireflective coating on both sides, and a sapphire window on the back allows a view of the movement. The perpetual calendar shows date, weekday, month and year, alongside a moon phase display for both hemispheres and a power reserve indicator. The crown screws down against the case, and the case carries a 100 metre water resistance rating. Small hacking seconds round out the display.
