The IWC Schaffhausen Aquatimer Chronograph Edition "Expedition Charles Darwin", reference IW379503, has a bronze case measuring 44 mm across. The case stands 16.9 mm thick and carries a rotating bezel with a screw-down crown. The chronograph runs on the IWC-manufactured calibre 89365, a self-winding movement with a 68-hour power reserve. A convex sapphire crystal with antireflective coating on both sides covers the black dial, which shows small seconds and a date display. The flyback function is included. The case carries a 300 metre water resistance rating. A black rubber strap with a quick-change system is fitted to the watch. This piece marks the first bronze case in IWC's history, made as a special edition.
