Breguet Marine 5517

Breguet's Marine 5517TI/Y1/5ZU is a 40 mm titanium case built for the water. The case measures 11.5 mm thick, with lugs set at 22 mm, and the blue dial sits under a sapphire crystal. Self-winding calibre 777A drives the watch, with a 55-hour power reserve, and its screw-down crown carries wave decoration typical of the Marine line. A central seconds hand and a date aperture at 3 o'clock keep the display simple, and the hands carry luminous treatment for legibility. Through the sapphire caseback the automatic movement is visible, including an oscillating weight shaped like a rudder. The rubber strap closes with a titanium folding clasp. Water resistance reaches 100 metres, ample for a watch built around a maritime theme.
